ingredients :
° Half a cup of butter
° large onion, cut into cubes
° 2 cloves minced garlic
° ¼ cup flour
° Half a cup of milk
° ½ cup chicken broth
° Half a teaspoon of salt
° Half a teaspoon pepper
° 3 pounds white potatoes, sliced about 1″ thick
° salt and pepper as needed
Directions : Heat oven to 350 degres F . sauce To prepare the sauce, melt the butter, onion and garlic over medium heat. Cooking to onions are soft, about 3 min . Add flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Turn the heat down to low. Mix milk and broth. Add a small amount while whisking to thicken. The mixture will become very thick, keep adding a little liquid while whisking until the mixture is smooth. Once all of the liquid has been added, let it boil over medium heat while continuing to whisk. Add salt and pepper and let it boil for a minute. holographic Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place half a potato on the bottom and season with salt and pepper. Pour half of the cream sauce over it. Repeat the layers finished with the cream sauce. Covering also bake for 45 min . Remove the lid and bake for an additional 35-45 minutes or until golden brown and potatoes are tender. Roast for 3-4 minutes to get a golden surface. Leave to rest for 15 minutes before serving.
