I used to make beef stew on the stovetop and all of us knew how much effort it requires. But with this crockpot version, we can easily throw this together in a snap and just leave it to cook. Certainly not fussy and does not require us to stay in the kitchen for hours! This is also perfect during busy days. All you have to do is dump all the ingredients in the pot, leave everything to cook, and came home to a lovely smelling house and filling meal. Ingredients
2.5 pounds stew meat
(1) 16 ounces frozen green beans
3 whole carrots (peeled and sliced)
3 russet potatoes peeled and diced (peeled and diced into large pieces)
1/2 onion (chopped)
2 bay leaves
(1) 14 ounces can of crushed tomatoes
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
2 c. water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
How to make Quick and Easy Crockpot Beef Stew
Step 1: On the bottom of a 6-quart crockpot, place the stew meat and potatoes. Over the meat and potatoes, add green beans, onions, and carrots. Now, pour the crushed tomatoes on top followed by the Worcestershire sauce and water. To taste, season with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Put the lid on and set to cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or 3 1/2 to 4 hours on high.
Step 3: When done, let the beef stew sit for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy!
