Prime Rib Roast

Ingredients

  • https://8abd86243d2a0d37e55c775a70f7da51.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html(1.7 pound) Prime Rib
  • Sea salt and black pepper, to season
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 9 ounces white mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 420F
  2. Wash and pat rib dry with a paper towel.
  3. Place the rib in a baking dish large enough for when you add the mushrooms.
  4. Season generously with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Rub with butter, garlic, 2 tablespoons olive oil and thyme. Put thyme also under the beef.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 35 minutes.
  7. Remove the rib from the baking dish. Add mushrooms, 1 tablespoon olive oil and Worcestershire sauce in the juice. Stir and push on edges. Place the rib back in the middle.
  8. Bake all together for another 35 minutes by basting from time to time.
  9. Serve immediately with mashed potatoes.
