Ingredients:
1 (5-7 pound) prime rib roast
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Pat the prime rib roast dry with paper towels and place it in a roasting pan.
In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture all over the prime rib roast.
Place the roast in the preheated oven and roast for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting for about 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature of the roast reaches your desired level of doneness.
Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
