Old-Time Oven Peach Cobbler

This classic American cooking can be made all year round using canned peaches. In this case, the step of cooking peaches in a pan with sugar is omitted.
* Ingredients :


°6 tsp un-salted butter 80 g°5 yellow peaches, cored, cut into slices 750 g°1 cup sugar 200 gm°1 tablespoon lemon, squeezed and half a lemon°1 C white-flour () 130 g°1 tablespoon of baking powder (baking powder) 8 g°1 pinch of salt 0.1 g°2/3 cup part-skim milk, 20 ml°1 pinch nutmeg
* Method :


Preheat oven to 175°C/350°F. Put the butter in a 22×33 cm baking dish and place in the oven for a few minutes until the butter melts.Adding peach tranches also for a third of sugar & lemon juice to  saucepan & stirring until blended . Cook over medium heat for a few minutes, until sugar dissolves and peach juice comes out. Remove from fire and reserve.In a large bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Stir in milk until homogeneous. Pour mixture into baking dish, over melted butter, without mixing but smoothing into an even layer.Pour the peach juice on the dough. Sprinkle nutmeg on the face.Baking in the middle of oven to golden, for 40 min .Serve hot or at room temperature.
