Baked BBQ Chicken Drumsticks Legs Recipe


  • ▢6 chicken drumsticks
  • ▢1 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ▢1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ▢½ teaspoon chili powder use less if you don’t like spicy food
  • ▢½ teaspoon garlic granules
  • ▢½ teaspoon onion granules
  • ▢½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ▢1 teaspoon salt
  • ▢3 tablespoons BBQ sauce


  • Oven


  • Start by seasoning the chicken drumsticks. Place in a bowl, drizzle with oil, and toss with seasonings until they’re well coated.
  • Arrange on a sheet pan (preferable with a rack), and bake at 390°F (200°C) for 20 minutes.
  • Take them out of the oven, and baste/glaze with BBQ sauce using a heat-proof brush. Return the sheet pan to the oven, and bake for 10 more minutes.


To check if the chicken is done and safe to eat, insert an instant read thermometer in the thickest part of the meat (make sure it’s not hitting a bone), and the internal temperature should be around 165°F or 75°C.
