You can’t go through the Holidays without making some Champurrado.
Ingredients:
7 cups water
3 cinnamon sticks
1/3 cup brown sugar1 chocoláte abuelita tablet
3 cups 2% milk (you could use whole milk too)
12oz can evaporated milk
14oz can sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cups Maseca masa
Directions:
Step by step:
1. Boil 7cups of water on medium heat with 3 cinnamon sticks, 1/3 cup brown sugar and 1 chocolate abuelita tablet.
2. As soon as it starts to boil you add your 3 cups of 2% milk, whole can of evaporated milk and whole can of sweetened condensed milk. Your going to start stirring till you see it’s about to come to a boil.
3. Lower heat to low heat and start slowly pouring in your mixed Maseca. Keep stirring and never stop or else your masa will clump up! Keep stirring for about 15 minutes (yes, this takes patience) turn off champurrado and keep stirring for about another 10 minutes. Then it’s done!!
