Ingredients
1 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
dash salt
1 tsp almond extract
Jam for the centers (your choice of jam)
Equipment Needed: Cookie Press
Directions
Preheat oven to 375�
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar
Add egg & beat well
Add flour, baking powder, salt & almond extract and mix well
Fill a cookie press with dough and press out shapes on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
Add 1/2 teaspoonful of jam to the centre of each cookie and bake at 375� for about 8-10 minutes, keeping an eye on them so they dont burn, until edges are golden brown
