Dr. Pepper BBQ Ribs are country-style beef ribs, cooked slowly in Dr. Pepper, then baked in the oven to caramelize Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. Only 3 ingredients!
I am what you would call a person who loves the good weather in winter. Growing up in the Midwest, it doesn’t seem normal not to have snow on the ground at Christmas time, but by mid-January, I’m tired of the dull gray sky, the cold and the white substance that has now turned to a not so pretty white.
I feel like long summer days with sunshine, sitting on the patio and grilling.
INGREDIENTS
4.5 pounds of country boneless pork ribs
2 Dr. Pepper soda cans, divided
3/4 cup of barbecue sauce (your favorite, we love our Sweet Baby Ray’s!)
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the ribs in the bottom of your casserole, pour 1 can of soda over them. Cover and cook in the slow cooker for 7 hours on low heat or 4 hours on high heat.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place a rack on top.
Mix 3/4 cup of barbecue sauce with 1/2 cup Dr. Pepper soda.
Carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them on the rack. Brush the tops with sauce. Cook for 15 minutes, turn over and brush the other side. Cook for another 15 minutes.
Serve the remaining sauce at the table.
