Ingredients
- 80g Nutella
- 1 Large Egg
- 25ml Milk (Any milk works, but I used semi-skimmed)
- 35g Plain Flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
- Add 80g Nutella and 1 large egg to a large microwave safe mug and mix until combined (I use a spoon).
- Add 25ml milk to the mug and stir until combined.
- Add the plain flour and baking powder, and mix until no pockets of flour remain (don’t overmix though!).
- Microwave on high (750w) for 1 minute 15 seconds, and then remove from the microwave and leave to stand for 30 seconds. Top with more nutella, a sprinkling of caster/granulated/icing sugar, ice cream (I love it with vanilla!), or whipped cream if you wish, or have on it’s own. Enjoy!
- – Mug cakes in general are best eaten fresh and warm, straight from the microwave!
- – This recipe can be double, tripled, etc if you like – just scale the recipe up as needed and mix the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Then portion out the mixture in to microwave safe mugs, and enjoy!
