INGREDIENTS

  • 1 medium onion, chopped very fine or grated
  • ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 lb. ground beef (or lamb, or a combination of the two)
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ c fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ¼ c fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint leaves, chopped, optional
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon, optional
  • 3 oz. ground beef or lamb fat, optional

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large bowl, add all the ingredients. Stir everything until well blended. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, then place it in the fridge to marinate the meat for at least an hour or overnight.

Soak the bamboo skewers in water to prevent them from burning on the grill.

Prepare the grill and preheat.

Get a bit of kefta, then form it into a sausage. Repeat with the rest.

Thread the meat with the prepared skewers.

Place them over the preheated grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side.

Serve right away. Enjoy!
