I love this dish so much! It reminds me of the best Filipino food, Chicken Adobo! This is a must-try! Serve these chicken thighs over rice, and you have yourself a meal to remember! Don’t forget to spoon the delicious sauce on top. Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Feel free to tweak this recipe a bit to your liking. I am sure that you can do a lot to make this recipe even better! Have a great one, friends, and I hope you are all well today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 tbsp sesame oil
4 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 4 pounds)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
6 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp lemon juice (or lime juice)
2 tsp kosher salt (plus more to taste)
5 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
2 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 225 degrees C or 450 degrees F.
Add the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, sesame oil, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper into a large bowl. Stir until well blended.
Add the chicken and toss until well coated by the sauce.
Put the bowl inside the fridge and allow the chicken to marinate for at least an hour or overnight. (I prefer overnight.)
Empty the bowl into a baking dish and spread it evenly. Arrange the chicken in a single layer.
Put them inside the preheated oven and bake the chicken for half an hour.
Broil for another 3 minutes or until they turn brown.
Remove from the oven and allow the chicken to rest at room temperature for a few minutes to incorporate all the flavours.
Serve hot and enjoy!
