How to make Easy Sweet Yeast Rolls Dough
Step 1: Boil the milk. When just boiling, immediately remove from the heat.
Step 2: Quickly stir in the sugar, salt, and butter, then set aside until lukewarm.
Step 3: Combine warm water and yeast in a large bowl. Stir to dissolve the yeast, then whisk in the lukewarm milk mixture.
Step 4: Add in the eggs followed by half of the flour, beating until smooth.
Step 5: Gradually add in the rest of the flour, mixing well. Depending on the humidity or other factors, you may need more or less 4 1/2 cups four. Mix until you have an elastic and a bit stiff but not dry dough.
Step 6: Onto a floured board, knead the dough for about 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 7: Grease the inside of a large mixing bowl with butter. Place the dough inside and turn it a few times to coat with butter.
Step 8: Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place. To double the size, let the dough rise for an hour.
Step 9: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it onto a lightly floured board.
Step 10: Shape and fill the dough as you’d like. Or pinch off around 2 to 3 tbsp dough and make it into a ball to make dinner balls. In a buttered muffin tin or baking pan, put the rolls barely touching each other, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Step 11: Cover and let the rolls rise in a warm place for an hour or so. You will notice that when they arise, the rolls will begin to touch each other.
Step 12: Place inside a 350 degrees preheated oven. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until nicely brown.
Step 13: When done, remove from the oven and quickly brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
Step 14: Let the rolls sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
