Easy Chicken Legs and Thighs

Baked chicken thighs are the ultimate in effortless and economical cooking. We will show you how to cook chicken legs. Simply season and bake, leaving you free to prepare the rest of the meal.
While cooking a whole chicken is not always convenient, cooking chicken legs is definitely a solution for weeknights. A chicken leg, also known as a hindquarter, is made up of a thigh and drumstick that are joined together. The thigh is the upper part of the leg and the drumstick is the lower part. Both are dark meat. These whole chicken thighs are inexpensive, versatile, meaty and moist. Allow one leg per person.
Tip: To reduce the amount of fat and calories, you can peel the chicken thighs. Cook the chicken with the skin on to keep it moist. Let cool slightly and remove the skin, starting at the end of the leg. Have kitchen shears or a knife handy to cut the skin if necessary.
