Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy is one of the easiest meals to prepare in the crock pot. All it takes is a handful of ingredients, about 5 minutes to prepare and 6 hours in the slow cooker to get a hot and delicious meal at home.
For me, simple foods are the most comforting and this Chicken and Sauce Slow Cooker couldn’t be simpler. It will remind you of dinner at your grandfather’s house.
The grated white meat chicken absolutely swims in a thick, rich and tasty garvy. Serve it over white rice or mashed potatoes with green beans or peas for a family meal like no other.
Ingredients :
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
14 ½ oz can can chicken broth
2 packets of chicken sauce mix
Itinerary :
1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Pour in chicken broth, cover and cook over high heat for about 3 to 4 hours or until chicken flakes easily.
2. Pour 2 cups of broth/chicken juice from the slow cooker into a saucepan. Discard any remaining liquid. Add the two bags of sauce to the pan and whisk well. Simmer over low heat until sauce thickens.
3. While the sauce is simmering, remove the chicken breasts from the pressure cooker and reduce them to larger pieces. That’s it! Serve with the sauce on top of the chicken. Yummy!
