These delicious, very crispy, breaded baked pork chops are a universal entree that you can pair up with just about anything!

Ingredients

1 egg – whisked

4 pork chops, boneless center loin, 1-inch thick

1/4 c. flour

2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 c. Italian bread crumbs

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tbsp olive oil or as needed

salt & pepper to taste

How to make Baked Crispy Breaded Pork Chops

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F. Using parchment paper, line a rimmed baking sheet.

Step 2: Place the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a shallow bowl. Mix well until combined.

Step 3: On a shallow plate, place the flour and season with salt. Then, add the whisked eggs to a different shallow bowl.

Step 4: Using paper towels, pat dry the pork chops. Lightly dredge each pork chop in flour, then dip in the egg, coating all sides. Lastly, coat the pork chops in the bread crumb mixture.

Step 5: In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops to the hot oil and sear for about 1 minute on each side.

Step 6: To the prepared baking sheet, transfer the pork chops. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 12 to 14 minutes or until the internal temperature of the meat reached 145 degrees F. Ensure not to overbake the pork chops.

Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and let the pork chops rest for about 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Notes:

If using plain or Panko breadcrumbs, make sure to season the flour with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

For this recipe, I use about 1-inch thick lean boneless center loin chops. However, you can use any cut you’d prefer, just adjust the cooking time accordingly.

The pork chop is done when the internal temperature of the meat reached 145 degrees F. I suggest using a meat thermometer to make sure the chops are not overcooked.

For juicy pork chops, a slight pink inside is fine.
