Crescent Cream Cheese Danishes

My husband loves cream cheese danishes! Delicious! .

Ingredients

  • 2 Cans of crescent rolls
  • 8 oz. Cream cheese softened
  • ½ C. Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • ¼ C. Brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter melted
  • For the glaze:
  • ⅔ C. Powdered sugar
  • 4 tsp. Milk
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon juice and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar.
  4. Open the crescent roll packages, and cut each one into 8 even sections.
  5. Place the sections of crescent roll dough flat on a large parchment lined baking sheet, and use your fingers or the back of a spoon to create a well in the center of each one.
  6. Brush the brown sugar mixture onto the top of each crescent roll section, and fill the center of each one with a serving of the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through.
  8. Mix together the ingredients for the glaze until smooth, and brush on top of the danishes before serving.
