- 1 can (8 ounces) crescent rolls
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 2-3 tsp milk
- sliced almonds, optional
- 3 ounces almond paste
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Using parchment paper or Silpat, line a cookie sheet.
Step 3: Into 8 triangles, separate the dough. Into even rectangles, slice the almond paste.
Step 4: On the large end of the triangle, place the almond paste, then loosely roll the triangle up and put it on the prepared cookie sheet.
Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven when done and let the rolls cool for about 5 minutes.
Step 6: In the meantime, combine the powdered sugar with 2 teaspoons of milk and almond extract. You can add 1 tsp milk if the mixture is too thick.
Step 7: Drizzle the glaze over the crescent rolls and top with some sliced almonds, if desired. Serve the rolls while still warm. Enjoy!
