Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup marinara sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with the flour, one with the beaten eggs, and one with the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Coat the chicken breasts in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip them into the beaten eggs, then coat them in the breadcrumb mixture.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook until they are golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Transfer the chicken breasts to a baking dish and top each one with some marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
